Farewell, 2014. You have been a year of memorials. We remembered the beginning of World War I 100 years ago and the beginning of World War II 75 years ago. We remembered the Peaceful Revolution in Europe that led to the fall of the Berlin Wall 25 years ago and brought hope for lasting peace.
2014, you were also a year of devastating wars in the Middle East, Africa, eastern Europe ... You were a year that once again showed the ignorance and arrogance of those who live in wealth and peace. As long as Ebola rages only in Africa, as long as deluge and drought destroys the basis for living only in the southern hemisphere, the west obviously does not feel obliged to REALLY take action (except fortifying Stronghold Europe, of course).
On a personal level, 2014, you have not been kindhearted either. You showed me how superfluous the humanities and art and therefore people like me are in a capitalist society. You added some little ghosts to my family.
But - Noa's music never fails to remind me - there is always hope. Let us hope that your successor will be more benevolent. Welcome, 2015.

P.S.: No, I have not forgotten that you also brought truly great things, 2014, and I thank you for them! By the way, here is my review of Noa's first crowd-funded album (in german):

Happy new year to everyone!

2012 was a good year for Noa's fans, especially for the german fans. I went to the "Classic Noa"-concerts in Dortmund and Hamburg. It was great!! There was even a recording of the Berlin show broadcasted by Deutschlandradio Kultur. Thank you, Achinoam Nini, Gil Dor, Gadi Seri and the guys of the Solis String Quartet! I hope you'll come back soon!

First impressions from the tour in Europe. Unfortunately it's not Noa singing, the evening of the Brussel concert she was sick. Nevertheless, this is beautiful: Sarina - Babel

Noa has announced a new compilation which will emerge in october. Moreover she and Gil Dor are working on something new. This is what her posting on facebook says:
"[...] just some clarification about the album, it is a collection called "classic noa", that includes three albums, the israeli songbook, noapolis and live with solis. three albums connected by their sound (orchestra/strings), and homage to classic material, whether israeli, neapolitan, or our own classic songs accumilated over 23 years of career. it will be released in france, germany (slightly different version there), belgium and holland. gil and i are working on new stuff too, but that will take time. we have lots of concerts coming up in italy, holland, belgium, germany and france, please check www.noasmusic.com. love to all!"

Correction: "Classic Noa" will be released september 14th and contains the same recordings as "The Israeli Songbook". There will also be a re-release of "Live in Israel" with the Solis String Quartet.
